SUMMARY OF RESEARCH

My research is focused on fundamental research underpinning the application of agricultural and industrial wastes for biofuel production and exploring the potential phytochemicals in fruits, vegetables and agricultural wastes. Current research includes the ethanol production from food and agricultural wastes, the study about antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of the extracts of some tropical fruits and fruit wastes. Additional studies include the development of ethanol production process; for example, fed-batch and/or continuous processing and the application of bioactive compounds in food safety and healthcare.
